CALPADS Data Guide
The CALPADS Data Guide provides information for LEAs regarding the data to be submitted to CALPADS. Information in the guide includes guidelines regarding how LEAs should prepare for each submission, as well as information regarding how given data are used. This document is available through the CDE website on the CALPADS System Documentation.
The CALPADS SSID and Enrollment Procedures document provides LEA staff with information about the business rules regarding obtaining Statewide Student Identifiers (SSIDs) for enrolled students. The document also contains information for LEAs regarding the submission and maintenance of student school enrollment and exit data. This document is available through the CDE website on the CALPADS System Documentation.
Retired Course Code Mapping
This document contains a list of state course codes and non-classroom based assignment codes that were retired at the end of 2018-19 and their recommended replacements for the 2019-20 year.
Reporting Data for Students with Disabilities
This document provides the common scenarios for determining which local educational agency (LEA) is responsible for reporting students with disabilities (SWD) data, and which LEA will be held accountable on the Dashboard.
Survey template for surveying the postsecondary status (PSTS) of Career Technical Education (CTE) completers who completed high school in the prior academic year. Most of the data that LEAs collect from this survey will be reported to CALPADS through the new Postsecondary Status File (PSTS) in the CALPADS Fall 2 submission, and will be used to meet federal reporting for Perkins V (formerly E-2 data submission).
Survey template for surveying the postsecondary status (PSTS) of students with disabilities who completed or left high school in the prior academic year. The data submitted to and certified in CALPADS on the PSTS file in EOY 4 for students with disabilities are used to calculate State Performance Plan Indicator (SPPI) 14 – Post School Outcomes. This indicator is one of the measures used to determine the compliance status of each LEA as required by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and to select LEAs for participation in the Focused Monitoring process.
