Report 16.9 Students with Disabilities Program Exits

(Updated as of 04/25/2023)

Description: Reports unduplicated counts of Students with Disabilities by Primary Disability Category that have exited from the Special Education program due to no longer eligible, reaching maximum age, withdrawal, or not receiving parental consent to continue from Part C to Part B.

Report Type: Snapshot / Certification (EOY 4)

Security Roles: EOY 4 Reports

Data As Of: Snapshot version EOY 4: July 1 - June 30 of reporting year

Basic selection criteria:

  • Qualifying Enrollment:

    • Open enrollment at any time during the Report Period: July 1 – June 30
    • Enrollment Status = Primary (10), Secondary (20), Short Term (30), Non-ADA (50)
    • Grade Level = IN, TD, PS, KN - 12
  • Qualifying SPED:

    • Any SPED record where Reporting LEA = qualifying Enrollment LEA
    • Education Plan Type = 100 (IEP), 150 (IFSP), 200 (ISP)
    • Meeting Type = 10 (Initial Part B), 15 (Initial Part C), 20 (Annual)
    • Exit Code (SPED 14.49) is populated and Exit Date (SPED 14.46) is during the Report Period: July 1 – June 30
  • Student Information (SINF), Student Program (SPRG) and Student English Language Acquisition (SELA) data used for selecting student subgroups (e.g. Race/Ethnicity, Homeless, EL, etc.) are selected from the most recent record that overlaps the qualifying enrollment.

Report Filters: Filters can be selected resulting in only totals for the selected filter being displayed – legend on bottom of last page of report states which filter/s were selected

Column Rules
1 SPED Field 14.15 – Reporting SELPA
2 Use data element name from CALPADS Security Model
3 SPED Field 14.25 – Disability Code 1
4 Total unduplicated count of SSIDs
- If a student was reported under more than one disability category, count the student only once.
- If the student was reported under more than one SELPA, count the student only once in this aggregate.
5 No Longer Eligible – calculation: Unduplicated count of SSIDs within a Special Education Exit Reason (SPED Field 14.49) = 70-No Longer Eligible
6 Max Age – calculation: Unduplicated count of SSIDs within a Special Education Exit Reason (SPED Field 14.49) = 73-Max Age
7 Withdrawal – calculation: Unduplicated count of SSIDs within a Special Education Exit Reason (SPED Field 14.49) = 78-Withdrawal
8 No Parent Consent from Part C to Part B – calculation: Unduplicated count of SSIDs within a Special Education Exit Reason (SPED Field 14.49) = 84-No Parent Consent from Part C to Part B
