Directly Certified

A student is considered "Directly Certified" through the statewide matching process when the results are received and processed by the CALPADS system. The system will store the results based on the hierarchy laid out in Appendix C of the Direct Certification system specifications. The system will also calculate whether the student is Directly Certified per the business rules in this glossary term. The following values will indicate which program certified the student, and whether the certification is for FREE or REDUCED meals.

• "S" for SNAP Certified FREE
• "T" for TANF Certified FREE
• "M" for MediCAL Certified FREE
• "R" for MediCAL Certfied REDUCED
