Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Subgroup
This accountability subgroup includes students who met at least one of the following criteria:
(1) neither of the student's parents has received a high school diploma
(2) the student is eligible for or participating in the Free Meal program or Reduced-Price Meal program
(3) the student is eligible for or participating in the Title I Part C Migrant program,
(4) the student was considered Homeless
(5) the student was Foster Program Eligible
(6) the student was Directly Certified
(7) the student was enrolled in a Juvenile Court School
(8) the student is eligible as Tribal Foster Youth
This designation is used as an Accountability Subgroup.
Business Rules
A student is considered Socio-economically disadvantaged if they met at least one of the following eight criteria during the reporting period:
Option 1) Parent/Guardian Highest Education Level Code (Field 2.50) = 14 - (Not a HS Graduate) from most recent SINF record based on effective date
Option 1 - Effective starting 2023-2024) If most recent SINF Parent/Guardian 1 Highest Education Level Code (Field TBD) & Parent/Guardian 2 Highest Education Level Code (Field TBD) combination matches any of the below combination:

Option 2) Education Program Code (Field 3.13) = 175 - Free or Reduced Price Meal Program (if Education program Start Date is on or before 6/30/12) OR Education Program Code (Field 3.13) = 181 – Free Meal Program or 182 – Reduced-Price Meal Program (if Education program Start Date on or after 7/01/12)
Option 3) Education Program Code (Field 3.13) = 135 - Title I Part C Migrant
Option 4) Homeless Program Eligible
Option 5) Foster Program Eligible
Option 6) Direct Certification Indicator = Y
Option 7) Students enrolled in a Juvenile Court school (EdOpsCode = (JUV)).
Option 8) Education Program Code (Field 3.13) = 193 - Tribal Foster Youth

Note: For EOY Snapshot reports prior to AY 2015-2016 and for Fall 1 & 2 Snapshot reports prior to AY 2016-2017, the rules only include students who met either one of the two criteria:
