ERROR DESCRIPTION:

Student Course Section record must have a corresponding Course Section record

FIELDS VALIDATED:

  • 10.05 School of Course Delivery
  • 10.06 Academic Year ID
  • 10.13 Local Course ID
  • 10.14 Course Section ID
  • 10.15 Academic Term Code

SUGGESTED RESOLUTION:

1) If the Local Course ID and Course Section ID are correctly populated in the submission, ensure the CALPADS ODS has a Course Section record for the submitted Course ID and Course Section ID.

OR

2) If the Local Course ID and Course Section are incorrectly populated in the submission, remove or change it so the correct value is submitted to CALPADS for the course section record of the SEID.

CDD will only trigger where the SCSE Academic Year is the same as the current Academic Year.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The SCSE0139F2 occurs due to any of the following reasons:

Reason 1: Timing Issue

The SCSE file was uploaded even before the CRSE file was submitted and/or posted completely.

Solution

Once CRSE file finish posting with zero errors, re-upload the SCSC file.


Reason 2: Missing or Rejected CRSC record

  • The CRSE record was not submitted at all. OR
  • SCSE record submitted for students that should be reported for Fall 2 (e.g PreSchool) OR
  • Only a partial CRSE file was posted either because the file was incomplete or the CRSE record was rejected. OR
  • Because of the replacement type processing employed by the CRSE, the records previously posted were overwritten by a new posted CRSE file with fewer records


Reason 3: Non-matching values

The values of the SCSE fields of validation listed below do not match the corresponding values in the existing corresponding CRSE record posted.

  • 10.06 Academic Year ID
  • 10.13 Local Course ID
  • 10.14 Course Section ID
  • 10.15 Academic Term Code
