Report 2.6: English Learner - Count by Primary Language

Description: Reports the number of English Learners at the school by grade level within Primary Language and aggregates the school level data to the LEA level.

Report Type: ODS and Snapshot / Certification (Fall 2)

Security Roles: Fall 2 Reports

Data As Of:

  • If ODS version, user defined
  • If Snapshot version, Fall 2 Census Day (First Wednesday in October)

Basic selection criteria:

Students Included:

  • Students with an open enrollment on the “Data As Of” date

  • Students with an English Learner (EL) SELA Status Code on the date of the report

  • Enrollment Status equals 10 (Primary)

  • Grade Levels TK, KN – 12

Report Filters:

Filters can be selected resulting in only totals for the selected filter being displayed. Legend on bottom of last page of report states which filter/s were selected

Column Rules
1 School code is derived from user ID permission and Expected Schools table
2 School Name is determined by #1 and the Expected Schools Table School Name column leads to School to Report 2.7 English Learner Education Services - Student List
3 SELA 12.15 – Primary Language – Use Language to look-up value in CALPADS Code Sets document.
4 SENR Field 1.24 - Grade Level Code
5 # English Learners (ELs): Count of students that are English Learners. SELA Field 12.13 - English Language Acquisition Status Code equal to EL (English Learner) with status date on or before Census day of current academic year

NOTE: Total – Selected Schools – Count of unique SSIDs aggregated at the LEA level by Primary Language
