Report 3.15 Career Technical Education Noncompleter Participants – Student List

(Updated 04/15/2024)

Description: Lists Career Technical Education (CTE) Noncompleter Participants and provides core indicators on these students.

Report Type: Snapshot / (EOY 1)

Security Roles: EOY 1 Reports

Data As Of:

  • If ODS version, user defined
  • If Snapshot version, July 1 – June 30.

Basic selection criteria:

  • Enrollment within the LEA at any time during the Report Period qualifies for selection.
  • Enrollment Status Code = 10, 20, or 30
  • Grade Level = 07-12
  • Student Course Section Completion (SCSC) must map to a state course code that is a CTE course (CRSC Field 9.07 = 7000-8999) for the student to be counted as a participant.
  • Only students who are CTE Participants but not CTE Completers (i.e. those who do NOT have an associated SCTE record), should be included in this report.

Student Data Rules: - Data presented are the most recent data associated with the most recent qualifying enrollment at the school during the Report Period, with the following exceptions:

- A student who has multiple CTE Course Enrollments at the same school during the Reporting Period should be counted for each CTE Course Enrollment and display one row for each CTE Course completed.
- A student who has multiple CTE Course Enrollments at different schools for the same LEA during the Reporting Period should be counted for each CTE Course Enrollment and display one row for each CTE Course completed.
- Student Program (SPRG) data are selected, for each unique Education Program Code, from the most recent SPRG record for the school and SSID that contains that unique Education Program Code (if exists) and with Education Program Membership Start Date and Education Program Membership End Dates (if exists) that overlap a qualifying enrollment at the school during the Report Period, regardless of Education Program Membership Code.

Report Filters: Filters can be selected resulting in only totals for the selected filter being displayed – legend on bottom of last page of report states which filter/s were selected

NOTE: Default = Y value indicates that the course is CTE related, the teacher has an appropriate CTE credential, AND that the student reported has a valid SCTE record and a related course completion record

REMINDER: CTE completers do not need the High Quality CTE Course Indicator equal to Y in the course record to appear on the CA Dashboard. All CTE courses will be accounted for in the dashboard. Flagging a course with High Quality CTE Course Indicator equal to Y is only needed if the LEA is receiving Perkins funding, which requires CTE courses are taught by CTE credentialed teachers.

**Note: For AY 23-24+, it includes students with an overlapping Eligible and Participating SWD record.
