Report C/A 7.3-C/A Discipline Actions-Count


Description: Duplicated count of the number of students who committed a reportable offense as well as counts disaggregated by Disciplinary Action Taken


Data As Of:

  • Snapshot version, any time in the reported academic year (7/1 – 6/30)

Basic selection criteria:

  • Any open or closed enrollment within the LEA at any time during the Report Period (7/1/2018 -6/30/ 2019) qualifies for selection
  • Student information record that falls wholly or in part within a qualified enrollment
  • Student Discipline Record (SDIS) for the Academic Year being reported
  • Enrollment Status Code = 10, 20, 30, or 40
  • Grade Level = KN, 01-12
  • Any open or closed enrollment within the LEA at any time during the Report Period (7/1/2018 -6/30/2019) qualifies for selection
  • Student information record that falls wholly or in part within a qualified enrollment
  • Student Discipline Record (SDIS) for the Academic Year being reported
  • Enrollment Status Code = 10, 20, 30, or 40
  • Grade Level = KN, 01-12

6 Ethnicity/Race: SINF Fields 2.23 and 2.25 - Ethnicity reported for students identified as Hispanic. Student who are not Hispanic have their race reported

If multiple students reported for same offense associated with one incident, both students are counted

9 # of Out-of-School Suspensions (100): Incident Disciplinary Action Taken Code (4.18) = 100 (Out-of-School Suspension) Duplicated count of SSIDs If a Student is disciplined more than once for committing the same offense in separate incidents, include each discipline as a separate event in this count.
If a Student committed more than one offense for the same Incident (SSID has more than one SDIS record for the incident), count the discipline for that student and incident only once.
10 # of Expulsions (200): Incident Disciplinary Action Taken Code (4.18) = 200 (Expulsion) Duplicated count of SSIDs If a Student is disciplined more than once for committing the same offense in separate incidents, include each discipline as a separate event in this count. If a Student committed more than one offense for the same Incident (SSID has more than one SDIS record for the incident), count the discipline for that student and incident only once.

13 # of Students Who Received Instructional Support (Unduplicated) Student Instructional Support Indicator (4.21): Student Instructional Support Indicator (4.21) = Y Unduplicated count of SSIDs within each disaggregated category. If multiple students are reported for the same offense associated with one incident, each student is counted.
