English Language Acquisition Status Count

A count of TK-12 students with an open primary enrollment or Short Term Enrollment on a Census Day with an English Language Acquisition Status = EL, IFEP, RFEP, ADEL or TBD.

Identify using:

Source: Student Enrollment
Enrollment Status Code (Field 1.24) = 10 (Primary) or 30 (Short Term)
AND
Source: Student Information
Grade Level Code (Field 2.32) = TK, KN, 01-12, UE, or US
AND
English Language Acquisition Status Code (Field 12.13) = EL, IFEP, RFEP, ADEL, or TBD

For Open Enrollments on Census Day:

English Language Acquisition Effective Start Date <= Report Date
AND
Most recent ELAs Status Code on the report “As of” date(using Effective Start Date)that was effective during the reporting period, regardless of Reporting LEA.

For Exited Enrollments on Census Day:

English Language Acquisition Effective Start Date <= Enrollment Exit Date
And
SINF Effective Start Date <= Enrollment Exit Date
And
Most recent ELAs Status Code on the report “As of” date (using Effective Start Date) that was effective during the reporting period, regardless of Reporting LEA.
